Things You Didn't Know You Needed - TWELVElittle Diaper Clutch

So you have a baby? Congratulations! One of the most important accessories, if not THE most important is the diaper bag. There are so many styles and brands to choose from and it can be overwhelming. You want it to be cute and functional, no one wants a fugly bag, let’s just be real about it. I ran across this brand called TWELVElittle and they make the cutest diaper clutches that double as a little crossbody bag. You might be thinking WTF is a diaper clutch and why do I need it??

I started seeing this little bag in my mom groups on Facebook and got curious and started to do some research which led me down the YouTube diaper packing video rabbit hole. Random Side Note: if you are feeding baby in the middle of the night and at the point of delirium, turn on YouTube. Thank me later. I later decided I could use this clutch for many different things, so after having It in my cart for a week (because...indecisiveness), I bought one to try this new packing scenario out. What sweetened the deal is it was on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond and I was able to use my 20% coupon. The reason some colors are on sale is they released a new version of this bag recently so the old style is being discontinued.

My main use is it’s namesake, a diaper clutch. I pack it with diapering essentials like diapers (duh), wipes (also, duh), diaper rash cream, aquaphor, changing pad (included), and an extra outfit. I keep this in Brooklyn’s diaper bag so that all I have to do is pull the clutch out and everything is there that I need. I soon came to realize that when we went into a store or someplace we weren’t going to be long, the clutch was all I needed. You may say “Hey what about feeding?” Y’ALL on top of all the diapering essentials I can fit her BOTTLE in there! This is a game changer!

So you mean I dont have to take the big diaper bag in the store every time??? Sign me up! For size reference, she drinks a 4 ounce munchkin latch bottle. I have seen moms put sippy cups in the clutch as well. This bag has some really cool features that have actually been improved in the newer version. Let’s start with the outside. It is made of a nice quilted water resistant material and has a leather handle on top and leather details. The strap is long and adjustable. The back has a zip pocket big enough for my phone, which is currently an iPhone 6s Plus (judge your own life). The main zipper is nice and fluid with a leather pull. On the inside there is a pocket on one side that has the included changing pad, and the lining is also water resistant. I am also able to fit a few diapers in this pocket as well. On the other side there are 2 elastic straps that can hold a pack of wipes or in my case a Wipouch 30. The middle section has a detachable mesh pouch that I use to store diaper cream and Aquaphor. When we go on outings, I can actually fit my wallet in here as well as Boogie’s bottle and I clip my keys on one of the rings the strap is connected to. I really need to downsize my keys, I’m out here like a janitor LOL. The size of the clutch itself isn't super huge at all. It comes in at 9.75" long, 6.25" high, and 3" deep. It's comfortable to wear and doesn't feel or look like a diaper bag. The only thing I don't like about the bag is that when you wear it, it's technically upside down. To combat this, I put her bottle in the opposite way so its sitting up when I wear it. I have never had her bottle leak inside of the bag, it just makes it a little weird to unzip since you have to flip it up to do so. Also, the instructions say to spot clean...weeellll someone spilled punch all over my bag over the 4th of July holiday and I said YOLO and threw this joker in the washing machine. It was fine, so don't be afraid to wash this bag if it gets gross.

Overall, I definitely recommend this bag and it will grow with Brooklyn as she gets older and needs less stuff to carry around.
